Plitvice Lakes National Park is Croatia’s oldest and most famous park, and one of the most renowned in Europe. It features 96 waterfalls and 16 lakes along the Korana River basin, as well as numerous tributaries and streams. This vast area of forests and biodiversity is a true wonder of nature. Declared a national park in 1949, it has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1979.
